meeting is United States and
Pakistan
Enhanced Partnership: Role of the Pakistani American Community.
We would like to invite you to this event. Many Pakistani Americans from CT will be joining the meeting. This is the Session II of
the full day meeting. (Please see details of other session below).
Objectives of the Session II meeting are:
Develop affiliation with the US Legislators in improving US-Pakistan Relations by Enhanced Partnership with the Pakistani American Community and the people
of Pakistan.
Highlighting the critical role of the Pakistani American Community can play in building bridges of understanding between US and Pakistan where perceptions about each other
improve and both people can work together for long term security of the region
Develop strategy to educate and inform about the needs of each other
Audience for this meeting:
Pakistani American Community(+100 participants), representatives of Pakistani American Community Groups who are doing
philanthropic work in Pakistan, Members of the State Department , members of the team of Ambassador Holbrooke, USAID, Legislators
and their Staffers; and Representatives of House and
Senate Committees.
The actual meeting starts at 830 AM will go on till 430 PM. Lunch will be served at 1130 AM.
Session I (830 to 1130 AM) of the meeting will showcase some Pakistani American Community Projects, which need to be enhanced and
strengthened to improve the life and opportunities for the people in Pakistan with a positive view of United States.
Session III (230 PM to 430 PM) is a meeting of the community with the various US Agencies
including TSA, FBI, DHS, DOJ, Members of the State Department.
We welcome it if members of your staff and policy workers can join the other sessions.
The Community members especially from your constituency will be looking forward to your
joining in and speaking at Session II.
