Ready, Set, Go!

PAKPAC has been invited by White House to have Children from the Pakistani American Community participate in the White House Annual Egg Roll tradition. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have announced that this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 with the theme of “Ready, Set, Go!” promoting health and wellness. This holiday tradition has a long history dating back to 1878. The event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and, of course, Easter egg rolling. All of the activities will encourage children to lead healthy and active lives and follow the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move!’ initiative, a national campaign to combat childhood obesity.

In PAKPAC's continuing efforts to build cultural harmony for the Pakistani American Community, PAKPAC is inviting Pakistani American Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years to join in a lifetime opportunity of fun in the South Lawn of White House.

We ask the community members interested in this event to email to ED@pakpac.net with the name and age of participating child, only one child per family or household is allowed. Given we only have 12 tickets, we will accommodate children on a first reply first confirmed basis.

At this time PAKPAC has not been notified of the time slot when Pakistani American Children will be allowed to enter the South Lawn on April 5th, so please plan to have the whole day open for your child to accommodate the allocated time slot.
